At first, I really thought that this article about one of my favorite punk bands, Minor Threat, had to be a joke. Backing up the URL however, I notice it comes from some ultra-conservative Catholic group in the UK. Their site advocates that all art should be publically burned, and that masturbation is a sin. So you mean there is more to life than jerking off and taking photos?

I spent the weekend in Los Angeles and had a great time enjoying the sunshine and taking photos with my Lomo. I notice that a lot of people up here in the San Francisco Bay Area seem really down on LA... I just don't understand it. Los Angeles seems to offer so much variety what ever kind of person you happen to be, so how can you not love a city like that? It reminds me of London in that respect, perhaps that's why I enjoy being there so much.

Newsworthy events? You must be joking. August is the quietest month, except for photos it seems. Just uploaded another batch of black & white to the Canon QL17 photos page (from the recent Lomo Crawl). Not quite confident yet of my black & white abilities, or my candid street photography technique, but one thing is for sure, and that is that this little Canonet has a heck of a sharp lens and still impresses me every time I shoot with it.

I finally got off my ass and scanned in the best photos from the CD Release Party which took place on July 27th for Priscilla's new album The Diamond Fields. The show also starred Fojimoto and John O'Brien. You can see the pictures right here.

Scanning and uploading all these photos takes so fecking long. Anyway, I have assembled a simple page for some of the Lomo Crawl images here. There are still a bunch of black and white shots to come. I'll also scan and post up a bunch of photos from the Priscilla / Fojimoto / John O'Brien show last weekend.

In the meantime, look at all the pwetty colors!

I put up some more photos in the XA4 section... some leftovers from my trip up north to Humboldt County a couple of months back:

Photos cannot do justice to the majesty of these Giant Redwoods.

This road cuts through the mammoth trees in Humboldt State Park.

No idea what this is, but it pleases me aesthetically.

Mmmm... moist, lush, grasses....

I've got some pictures back from the fourth San Francisco Bay Area Lomo Crawl, and these will eventually be posted here too. Promise.
