Updates are likely to be a tad sporadic over the coming weeks. I won't have DSL up and running in my new apartment for a few weeks, and I'll be too busy moving/unpacking boxes and introducing Miss P. to her new home. Still, I've got 5 day trip to Paris to look forward to at the end of October.

I'm so proud. Finally, they got round to naming a hurricane after me.

Some random photos from an afternoon in Golden Gate Park a few weeks back enjoying opera in the park and shooting from ground level...

Dogs, of course (you know me too well).

Kids, naturally.

Yet another dog, but I love all the red dotted around.

The statutory old man photo.

And finally, the picnic police.

So pleased I got to see Grandaddy on Thursday night at The Fillmore! I wasn't sure if they'd be able to transfer their exquisite sound that well live, but they totally surprised me and played an incredibly great show, one of the best in fact that I've seen in a long time. And what with excellent support from Super Furry Animals, it was quite a show!

I love the fact that people in the UK are not fooled by so-called "illusionist" David Blaine and his idiotic publicity stunt, and are taking any opportunity to taunt him and make his life hell.

How quickly one's life can change. In a matter of a few hours I'd put a deposit on a studio in Redwood City, and made some arrangements to adopt a beautiful Scottish Fold cat called Miss P. And yes, her ears are supposed to be folded like that!

I'm in no way unhappy with my apartment in the hills of San Carlos, in fact I've been there nearly three years, it just felt time for a change. The rent is $5 a less per month than I pay, and of course I get the chance to have my own place rather than sharing with roommates. Also, discovering that the new studio allows cats, I just had to seize the opportunity to adopt one.

Also, I've had fun today with the Historical Tale Construction Kit - a very sweet idea!

And when it comes to workplace humor, Stealth Disco is a blast.

A couple of weeks back I won a disposible Fuji camera for kicking a soccer ball. I know, I know, it's so exciting. I've never used one of these before, but I took all 27 shots in Big Basin Redwoods State Park, so it'll be interesting to see how they turn out.

I did a drive-by and took out some of them bitchin' cow mofos.

Thanks to Jared for one of the coolest photos I've seen of my car so far!

It's wonderfully funny even though it's tackling a subject some might find a little distasteful. Of what do I speak? Why, it's Allah Is In the House!

So I was digging through some old photos the other day, and looking through the piles and piles of them (I wish I was joking: there are, literally, piles and piles of them), I discovered a couple that I really don't know why I didn't scan in the first place. Were my standards different then? Is what pleases me aesthetically now different from what pleased me a year ago? Who knows. In fact, who cares? Anyway, I captured this photo of the Golden Gate Bridge at dusk, and this photo which is another from the bored at the drive-thru series.
